- Ice (optional)
- I personally add a stick or 2 of cinnamon, fresh ginger and turmeric (don’t forget a pinch of black pepper to help your body absorb the turmeric) to make a really powerful antioxidant drink!
Instructions:
- Wash the pineapple skin thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.
- Cut the pineapple skin into small pieces and place them in a pot with 4-5 cups of water.
- Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 30 minutes to an hour, until the pineapple skin is soft and the water has turned into a golden-color.
- Remove the pot from the heat and allow the pineapple skin infusion to cool.
- Once cooled, strain the liquid into a pitcher to remove the pineapple skin pieces
