In recent years, the popularity of veganism has soared, with an increasing number of individuals embracing this plant-based lifestyle (myself included). Something I didn’t know was necessary until a late-night search on YouTube brought me to this documentary The Invisible Vegan where they discuss changing the diet in the African American community. After watching it I realized just how much I didn’t know being black and vegan was frowned upon. So I went on a deep dive to find some of the famous black vegans who have made a positive impact, not only in the realm of plant-based eating but also in their respective fields.
